A short 10 minute freeway drive north from the more populated Phoenix area, Anthem is in the middle of the desert nestled between the mountains.  Interstate 17 conveniently connects the community to the rest of the Phoenix metropolitan area. The Arizona Department of Transportation has plans to widen I-17 from Loop 101 to Anthem Way. When completed this year, the road work will make Anthem, Arizona real estate even more attractive to prospective home buyers. It feels secluded, adding to the strong sense of community. There are plenty of outstanding golf, hiking and other recreational opportunities available to residents of Anthem.
The Anthem Community Center serves as a central meeting place for classes (adults and children), pool parties, basketball leagues and exercise classes. During the summer, the waterpark serves as wonderful place to cool off.  Anthem, Arizona has
been named among the best places to live in Arizona by Phoenix Magazine and the best place to raise a family by Parenting Magazine in November of 2003. For information on Anthem, Arizona homes for sale call Mike & Liz today.

Anthem's K-8 School is part of a $12 million donation by Del Webb Corporation to the Deer Valley Unified School District. This donation represents the first time in Arizona history that a community developer has donated land as well as providing for the entire design and construction of a public school. The 88,000-square-foot school, one of the first structures completed, accommodates up to 950 students (K-8) and includes a gymnasium, auditorium, baseball and soccer fields on its 15-acre site.

Boulder Creek High School in Anthem, Arizona is a high school started in 2004. It  is a school in the  AIA (Arizona Interscholastic Association). North Valley Regional, a branch of the Maricopa County Library District is integrated into the school and serves both as the school's library and as the public library for the communities of New River, Anthem, Desert Hills, and Black Canyon City(located in Yavapai County).
